Ron and his wife Shawn are both graduates of Rockford High School and love being involved in the community and schools. Ron has a background in chemical engineering and financial planning and worked in both fields before being called to seminary and full time ministry involvement. In 2003 Ron joined the team at BridgeWay and is energized by people being transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. Ron is an avid triathlete and hopes to inspire others to set great goals that push them beyond their limits to trust God. He also enjoys coaching youth wrestling, camping, fishing, snowboarding and spending time outdoors with his family. Ron and Shawn have five kids, AnnMarie, Brennan, AisLynn, Brysonn and Braylenn.
Jeff grew up in Rockford, and became a follower of Christ during his senior year at RHS. After college, he spent a year as a missionary in the Middle East before returning to serve at several churches in the Midwest. He also attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. Jeff joined staff at BridgeWay in 2012, and loves to help people find their fit in the community and work of God’s Kingdom. He enjoys podcasting, watching sports and playing any kind of board game he can get his hands on. Jeff married Gina in 2009, and they have two sons, Caleb and Matthew.
Jake Houf, Student Ministries Pastor

Jake grew up on the northeast side of Columbus, Ohio and moved to Michigan to attend Cornerstone University in 2006. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Cornerstone in 2010, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Ministries from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2012. Jake spent 3.5 years working in student ministry at Ada Bible Church in Grand Rapids before making the move to BridgeWay in 2017. Jake married his wife Katie in June, 2018. He loves coffee, hammocking, music, and traveling (or any combination of those things). Jake is also passionate about walking with students as they journey through life, and helping them find and know Jesus.
Michelle grew up on a farm in Pittstown, New Jersey. She moved to Marquette, Michigan in 1990 to be near her husband-to-be, David, and finished her last two years of college at Northern Michigan University. She and David were married in 1991 and lived in Marquette for nearly 10 years before moving to Rockford. They are blessed with two wonderful children, Lauren and Jason. They began attending BridgeWay in early 2001. Michelle volunteered in Children’s Ministry from the beginning, and came on staff as a secretary in January 2009. She has served as Director of Children’s Ministry since May of 2011. Michelle loves traveling, camping, reading, practicing her French, and spending time with family and friends.
Christine Kraai, 'J'Seekers Ministry Assistant
‘J’Seekers Children’s Ministry (Infants – 5th Grade)
Christine was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She has been married to her husband, Tim, for over 17 years. She has been blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom for the last sixteen years. Christine and Tim are proud parents of two sons and one daughter. Her family has attended BridgeWay since 2012 and became members in September of that year. Christine’s heart and passion lies in growing young people into Christ followers and since Spring of 2015, she created and has led BWG – BridgeWay Whatever Girls (whatever is true, whatever is noble… Phillipians 4:8) for fourth grade girls. Christine is involved in Women’s Bible Study, enjoys working in the yard at home, as well as a good cup of coffee with her friends and thoroughly enjoys Small Group fellowship and service.
Vince Bosscher, Worship Leader
Vinnie grew up in Rockford, and when he's not leading the Worship Team at BridgeWay, he makes tacos for the world as a franchise consultant for Taco Bell. He enjoys coaching and watching his kids wrestle and using music to bless others in the community. Vinnie is married to Erica, and they have four kids, Maria, Moses, Louis and Georgia.
Joni was born in Grand Rapids and moved to Rockford in 9th grade. She graduated from Rockford High School and later met and married her husband, Doug. They have three wonderful children- Autumn, Shaun and Cameron. Joni feels blessed to have been able to be a stay at home mom for their children while they grew up. She now loves being a grandma to six incredible grandchildren (whom she adores). Joni and Doug have attended BridgeWay since 2001 and have volunteered in many different areas. Joni joined the staff in May of 2011 as the administrative assistant and helps in other areas as needed. She enjoys biking, kayaking, reading, spending time with her family/friends and a leisurely cup of coffee with her husband.
