Beginning in April of 1999, our pastor, Tim and his wife Mary began meeting with four other families who lived in the Rockford area to pray about starting a new church in Rockford. In September, this original group sensed God’s desire for a new church to reach people that don’t go to church.

To accomplish this, they began holding meetings to study the Bible, fellowship together and pray for this new church. They also initiated once a month outreach events that would seek to reach out to people. Once having seen 40 adults commit to helping build this church, they officially began the church on September 17, 2000.

BridgeWay Community Church is a growing group of people who desire to worship God and reach out to its neighbors in the Rockford Area.
