‘J’Seekers Age Groups

Nursery (0 - 2 years)

A safe and loving environment for our youngest BridgeWay kids to play and receive care while parents attend services. Volunteers often use the Toddlers curriculum from FirstLook to introduce basic bible teaching through play and song.

2's & 3's (2 - 3 years)

Using our FirstLook curriculum, our two and three year olds begin to learn about our big God and His big love for them. Volunteers creatively teach the bible story each week, followed by activities to reinforce the story teaching. Children learn to socialize with their peers and build their small and large motor skills through crafts and games.

4's & 5's (4 - 5 years)

This group continues learning through our FirstLook curriculum, with bible stories and activities that are age and skill-level appropriate for preschoolers. By the end of their time in this room, kids will know and understand these three basic truths:

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever

K - 3rd Grades

Our elementary groups use our 252Basics curriculum, where room leaders creatively present the bible story during Large Group time, and children and leaders separate into Small Groups to complete activities that reinforce the teaching points for the week.

  • K/1 – Kindergarten and 1st graders are grouped together in small groups with approximately 8-10 children per group leader.
  • 2nd/3rd – 2nd and 3rd graders are grouped together into small groups with approximately 8-12 children per leader.

45ers - 4th & 5th Grades

Our 4th and 5th graders meet in their own room, and use the 252Basics curriculum for their age/grade level. 45ers leaders use the Large Group/Small Group format as well, breaking into separate small groups for girls and boys for discussion and activities.

The Bottom Line

By the end of their time in ‘J’Seekers, we hope kids will know and understand these three basic truths:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
