Global Outreach
•Global Outreach Verses:
Micah 6:8, “No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Psalm 111:“1 Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. 2 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. 3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. 8 They are steadfast forever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness. 9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever—holy and awesome is his name.“ 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
•History:
BridgeWay has sent over eight teams to various foreign locations since 2003. These countries include Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Kenya. Over 200 people have participated in these trips.
•Support:
We support Susan Hoover, a long term missionary residing in Indonesia. Her stories are powerful and encouraging as she shares the journey of bringing the Good News to Indonesia. Please visit her site for more information and updates on this exciting and life changing ministry!
We have helped several young people in our community pursue mission training and service, including Hungary and Guatemala as well. In 2008, we will introduce a mentoring program for young people who are interested in becoming missionaries.
•Programs:
Bridge of Hope is a Feeding and Education program in Guatemala. God moved through the hearts of several men who were part of BridgeWay’s first trip into the mountains of Guatemala. This group of guy’s witnessed Christ’s transformative hands in the village of Chisis; they were given a vision to care for the children of this village. 65 children are now being nourished and are receiving an education as a result of this program. BridgeWay has also provided funds for buildings that are used by the entire community, as well as a Molina, (corn grinder). Bridge of Hope is managed by a Guatemalan gentleman and overseen by a team from BridgeWay.
