FOR OUR FUTURE

The ultimate purpose of this expansion project is to reach more people with the love of Jesus. As part of our ten-year vision, we are convinced that God has big plans for this space: building families, crafting vibrant communities, mending hearts, deepening discipleship, and lending a helping hand to our neighbors. Watch the video below to hear Dr. Ron Aulbach share more of the vision!

FAQs:

How many will new sanctuary seat?

The new sanctuary has a capacity of 650 seats.

What financial commitments will need to be in place before we move forward?

The project is $6million dollars. Typically you need to have 50-70% of the funds in hand before a bank will establish a loan for the construction to begin.

Will the renovations provide more space for both children’s and youth ministries?

Yes. The expansion increases youth ministry by finishing the loading docks area. This will add approximately 5000 square feet. JSeekers will also be expanded by 2500 square feet utilizing the former offices and check in area. The new space will allow for storage, a resource room, and volunteer hub.

Are we at capacity in our Sunday mornings on a regular basis where we need that big of a sanctuary?

We believe God has called us to grow and expand His kingdom. The question isn’t just who’s here and do we have enough seats. The question is who’s NOT here and are we inviting them. Jesus promises fruitful multiplication at factors of up to 100 times when people share the kingdom with their friends. Every time this church has moved, we went into larger space and God has used it to reach more people.

Will the new spaces in the church (kitchen, meeting rooms, basketball court) be able to be rented out by people in our community?

Yes. We hope that the space is utilized for ministry in all it’s various forms. The church is always at it’s best when it gives itself away. Procedures will be put in place to allow fair and equitable use of the community as well as the staff and ministries in place.

Will we have the capacity to accommodate weddings?

Yes. The new kitchen and multipurpose space will allow for receptions of all sorts where food is integral to the gathering. This is true not only for weddings but also funerals, graduations, open houses, and family gatherings. The kitchen is designed as a “prep” kitchen and maximizes space for food to be warmed up and prepared. However, BridgeWay is an alcohol free campus and all gatherings would have to adhere to this policy.

When do we vote?

BridgeWay is an elder governed church and the final authority on all leadership decisions. Along with the senior pastor, they are responsible for the ongoing mission of turning spiritually hungry people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Therefore, there is no vote taken for the final design or project scope. The only vote required by the constitution would be approval of a loan or any encumberment of church property.
