- Read Matthew 4:2-4.
- What does temptation mean according to the dictionary definition?
- Who experiences temptation? Why is it that our response to temptation is what matters the most?
- What needs do the temptations you face say they will fill?
- In these verses of Matthew chapter 4, why does the devil choose this time to tempt Jesus?
- When is it hardest for you to resist temptation? Where is it hardest to resist temptation?
- Read 2 Corinthians 10:5.
- How can we capture our thoughts? What untruth can you replace with truth?
- How is God challenging you to grow through your temptations rather than fall prey to them?
MAKE DISCIPLES: What has helped you resist temptation? How can you help someone else resist temptation?
