THE STORY OF REALITY:

How does Christianity make sense of evil, human dignity, and hope in a world that often feels broken? This 3-session interactive class based on the book, “The Story of Reality” explores how the Christian story explains the world as it really is – and why hope still prevails. Classes will be March 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30p-7:45p. (Stay after and discuss with your group if you’d like!)

DISCUSSION GUIDE: March 15 – Dr. Ron Aulbach

“Famous Last Words”

LIFE: March 12 was National Popcorn Lovers Day.  What is your favorite kind of popcorn?

ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:

  1. Read 2 Timothy 4:1-8.
  2. Paul viewed his stage as “in the presence of God” despite being held prisoner in a sewage-filled, underground prison.  What is your stage?  What are we, as Christians, supposed to do on our stage?
  3. Who is to preach the Word?  How are we all pastors?
  4. Has the Word of God formed you and your life?  If so, how?
  5. What are the different ways we can serve in our day to day lives?
  6. What would it look like to serve with your family?
  7. What does it mean to finish the race?  Who do you know that has finished the race well?
  8. What did pouring out a drink offering mean to people in Paul’s time?  What would it look like for us to pour out our lives like a drink offering?

MAKE DISCIPLES:  How can you bring the Word to your family more regularly?
