THE STORY OF REALITY:
How does Christianity make sense of evil, human dignity, and hope in a world that often feels broken? This 3-session interactive class based on the book, “The Story of Reality” explores how the Christian story explains the world as it really is – and why hope still prevails. Classes will be March 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30p-7:45p. (Stay after and discuss with your group if you’d like!)
DISCUSSION GUIDE: March 15 – Dr. Ron Aulbach
“Famous Last Words”
LIFE: March 12 was National Popcorn Lovers Day. What is your favorite kind of popcorn?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read 2 Timothy 4:1-8.
- Paul viewed his stage as “in the presence of God” despite being held prisoner in a sewage-filled, underground prison. What is your stage? What are we, as Christians, supposed to do on our stage?
- Who is to preach the Word? How are we all pastors?
- Has the Word of God formed you and your life? If so, how?
- What are the different ways we can serve in our day to day lives?
- What would it look like to serve with your family?
- What does it mean to finish the race? Who do you know that has finished the race well?
- What did pouring out a drink offering mean to people in Paul’s time? What would it look like for us to pour out our lives like a drink offering?
MAKE DISCIPLES: How can you bring the Word to your family more regularly?
