“Full Circle”
LIFE: What is your favorite retro thing?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Acts 8:9-24.
- What sins of the world or your life before Jesus are still affecting you today?
- When did you last confess your sin to Jesus? What role does confession to Jesus but also to each other in your life play?
- Who does Simon ask to pray for him in these verses? How does this fit (or not fit) with what Paul told him he needed to do?
- What does it mean to repent? Why is repentance difficult?
- Is repentance a one time action or is it a continual process? Why?
- Matthew 3:8 ESV Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. Since this is true, what area of your life are you bearing fruit?
- What areas of your life are you not bearing fruit? If you are not bearing fruit in areas of your life…what sins have you not repented in these areas of your life? So that you may grow and bear fruit of the spirit.
- Take time to pray that God can help you see where there is sin in your life to repent from. Give these things over to God in prayer.
MAKE DISCIPLES: How can you and your friend(s), group, family include confession and repentance into your time together?
