“Good Samaritan”
LIFE: What is your favorite kind of salad?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Luke 10:25-37.
- In our culture today do people take care of others like the Samaritan did in these verses?
- Why did this parable make the people uncomfortable?
- Do you see current day events that parallel this story?
- What is the difference between being nice and having compassion?
- Why is it hard to evaluate our own hearts and biases? Do we treat people differently because of their differences? Do we joke about certain people or groups of people?
- Read Matthew 5:43-45.
- Jesus says to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Are you practicing this? If not, how can you develop habits to live this out?
- Pastor Justin challenged us to do something kind for our neighbor this week. What is one thing that you can do this week to show kindness?
MAKE DISCIPLES: Take a moment to pray for your neighbors this week.
