- Read 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10.
- What stands out about this reading to you?
- What is your goal when you read the Bible? Are you seeking “answers”? What would it look like to read to become more like and more in love with Jesus?
- If Jesus came back today or tomorrow, would you be ready? Do you ever pray and ask Jesus to return now?
- How do your words and actions reflect your belief that Jesus will return and could return any moment?
- What does “church” mean in the original context of the Bible? Do you define church in the same way now?
- What does it mean to love the church? Why is it important?
- How often and in what ways do you tap into the Holy Spirit’s power?
MAKE DISCIPLES: Who could you invite to come to your church? Who could you ask, “How can I pray for you?”
