LIFE: What is your favorite Christmas treat?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Ephesians 4:22-24, 1 Peter 2:1-2.
- What amount of sin is acceptable? Is there an acceptable level of “bad behavior”?
- What does it mean to put off your old self?
- How have you experienced transformation since following Jesus?
- Jesus came so that we may live a life free from these sins. Ask yourself: am I living like my old self or am I living up to my new self?
- Which one or more of these do you feel a prompting to put off: resentment, anger, greed and/or superiority? What could be your first step in starting to put off one of these things?
MAKE DISCIPLES: With whom can you share what you are trying to put off? How can you help each other to put these sins off?
