THE STORY OF REALITY:
How does Christianity make sense of evil, human dignity, and hope in a world that often feels broken? This 3-session interactive class based on the book, “The Story of Reality” explores how the Christian story explains the world as it really is – and why hope still prevails. Classes will be March 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30p-7:45p. (Stay after and discuss with your group if you’d like!)
DISCUSSION GUIDE: March 8 – Mike Antuma
“What to Do When the World Is Going Down”
LIFE: Share a story from your life of a time when unexpected danger presented itself.
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read 2 Timothy 3:1, 14-17.
- Who did you learn from? Who had an impact on your Christian walk?
- How often do you open your Bible in a week?
- What stops you from opening it more often?
- Why is it important that the Bible is trustworthy?
- Why does it matter that the Bible is God-breathed?
- Describe the benefit in “continuing what you have learned” when danger gets closer.
- How can you read the Bible to know God instead of just going through the motions?
- If you’re not in the Bible every day, how can you implement that habit starting this week?
MAKE DISCIPLES: What would it look like to get a group of people together to read the Bible together? What kind of impact could that make in your life and the lives of others?
