THE STORY OF REALITY:

How does Christianity make sense of evil, human dignity, and hope in a world that often feels broken? This 3-session interactive class based on the book, “The Story of Reality” explores how the Christian story explains the world as it really is – and why hope still prevails. Classes will be March 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30p-7:45p. (Stay after and discuss with your group if you’d like!)

DISCUSSION GUIDE: March 8 – Mike Antuma

“What to Do When the World Is Going Down”

LIFE: Share a story from your life of a time when unexpected danger presented itself.

ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:

  1. Read 2 Timothy 3:1, 14-17.
  2. Who did you learn from?  Who had an impact on your Christian walk?
  3. How often do you open your Bible in a week?
  4. What stops you from opening it more often?
  5. Why is it important that the Bible is trustworthy?
  6. Why does it matter that the Bible is God-breathed?
  7. Describe the benefit in “continuing what you have learned” when danger gets closer.
  8. How can you read the Bible to know God instead of just going through the motions?
  9. If you’re not in the Bible every day, how can you implement that habit starting  this week?

MAKE DISCIPLES:  What would it look like to get a group of people together to read the Bible together? What kind of impact could that make in your life and the lives of others?
