DISCUSSION GUIDE: April 12 – Pastor Justin Gill
“Disoriented”
LIFE: Tax Day is coming up this week! Are your taxes done? Do you do them yourself or hire a CPA?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Isaiah 26:3-4, Exodus 34:4-7
- Have you ever had a disorienting experience? What was the situation?
- What kinds of things do you trust in your everyday life?
- Can you identify things in your life in which you have been “disoriented” and have not trusted God?
- In Exodus 34:6, what are the traits God lists that directly define His character? Are those the traits of someone trustworthy?
- How have you seen God display these characteristics to you and to others?
- What would the opposite look like in someone and how would that make trusting difficult?
- Trust takes time to grow from experiences. How much time do you spend with God to develop and grow your trust in Him?
- How can you spend more time with God today, this week, this month, and this year?
MAKE DISCIPLES: Share your plans on how you will spend more time with God and invite someone to join you. Having an accountability partner can help you both be oriented with God to follow and trust Him because He is worthy.
