The Loudest Voice

DISCUSSION GUIDE: August 9, 2026
Pastor Ron
“The Loudest Voice”

LIFE: Do you have more summer plans or are your sights set on the Fall?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
1. Read Galatians 1:9-12.
2. What loud “voices” in your day to day life are competing for your attention? Name a few.
3. Whose voice do you give the greatest weight to in your life? Are you often pulled toward the “voice of approval”?
4. Paul told the Galatians that he is not seeking to please people, but to be a servant of Christ. Why is being a servant (“slave”) to Jesus the cure for the voice of approval?
5. Do you place God’s Word as the highest authority? How is this displayed daily in your life?
6. How does the voice of godly people fit into the Hierarchy of Authority?
7. How often do you allow the voice of acquaintances to direct your choices in life?
8. If Jesus Christ has the greatest authority, then we are finally free. In what ways can we manifest that freedom even when being criticized? How do you know the voice of your Shepherd?

MAKE DISCIPLES: Pastor John Wesley would often ask people, “How is it with your soul?” Take the time this week to ask a neighbor, coworker, or friend this question and really listen to the answer. Direct them to the freedom found in the voice of Jesus.
