“The Cost of Discipleship”
LIFE: What is your feeling towards chili? Should it be spicy? How spicy?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Luke 14:25-27.
- What is a disciple? And how long does discipleship take?
- What can a disciple not be according to these verses? Why can’t a disciple be those things?
- Why aren’t there “levels” to being a disciple? Would you rather have a “To Do” list?
- How has your discipleship process been unpredictable?
- What is hard about being a disciple? Can you see your life becoming the “means” and Jesus being the “end”?
- If you have identified gaps in your journey of discipleship, remember God’s mercies are new every day! What is one thing you can do to deepen your relationship with Jesus to love and follow Him more completely?
MAKE DISCIPLES: Who do you know that you can pray for to know Jesus? What can you do to be ready for conversations with others about Jesus?
