“The Disciple”

LIFE:  Was there anyone in your past whom you emulated?  How did they influence your clothing, hairstyle, speech, or other life activities?

ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:

1. Read 2 Timothy 2:1-2.
2. How would you define “disciple”?  In what ways do you see discipling in these verses?
3. Read Romans 10:9 and Matthew 16:24.  
4. How do these passages move us from salvation to becoming a disciple?
5. In what ways did the 12 apostles learn how to disciple during their three years with Jesus?
6. Read Matthew 28:19-20.  
7. Pastor Mike listed some “organized” and “spontaneous” ways to disciple.  In what organized and/or spontaneous ways were you discipled?
8. When it comes to discipling others, it often “interrupts” life routines.  Have you created space in your life for the “interruptions” of discipling?
