GROUPS
FALL:
Who do you know that might be ready for a group? If you’re in one, then you know how powerful it is to have a community that encourages you, challenges you, and points you to Jesus. You know how powerful it is to have the opportunity to serve with others, pray together and dive into the Bible together. What would it look like to encourage others to be in a group or to start a new one for others to jump into???
DISCUSSION GUIDE: September 1 – Mike Antuma
“When It’s Too Much”
LIFE: What’s your favorite way to fill an hour of free time?
ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:
- Read Luke 4:42-44, Luke 9:57-62.
- What does Jesus say about priorities in these verses?
- Share the Boulder, Pebble, Sand analogy. What is the main idea? What things in your life seem like boulders?
- What things have you been treating like boulders when they’re actually pebbles?
- What is something God wants as a boulder in your life that you’ve been treating like a pebble?
- What part of yourself have you been holding back from God?
- How has God impacted previous parts of your life when you’ve given them over to Him? What’s stopping you from doing it again?
MAKE DISCIPLES: How are you inviting people around you to fill their lives with Jesus?
