Cradle To The Cross

Cradle To The Cross

17 December – Ron Aulbach Galatians 6:11-18

WELCOME: Spend 15 – 20 minutes catching up with your group members and sharing prayer requests. Take some time to pray over each other. If possible try to have a quiet time in Galatians 6:11-18.

SHARE: What is your favorite Christmas tradition?

ENGAGE THE MESSAGE:

  1. Read Galatians 6:11-18.
  2. Look at verse 14.  What does Paul say we should focus on?  Why is this so important?
  3. What things are you tempted to boast about?
  4. What would it look like to boast in the cross (the work of Jesus)?  Are you doing this?
  5. What is the meaning of the cross in our culture? What about in the time of Galatians?
  6. Consider the fact that Jesus went to the cross for every person in all of humanity.  How does that impact the way you view people?
  7. What would it look like this Christmas to let your issues go, and think about the cross and the reason baby Jesus came?

OTHERS: How can you share the good news of the gospel this Christmas? This week consider reading the Christmas story from the Bible with your family or inviting someone to go to a Christmas Eve service with you!
